Description
I spent many days in a trance while creating this painting. I never wanted it to end. It became a waking dream after a while, I didn't sleep, I didn't speak to anyone. At one point, I nodded and dreamt of a garden at midnight. I saw this person standing there, holding stalks of moonlit gladiolus, slightly lavender, very nocturnal. And so, I call this piece, Midnight in the Garden.
The colors featured are midnight blue, silver and lavender. The gentlemen is based on the lovely Danish actor, Mads Mikkelsen.
